We had my sister's birthday party catered, and at first we were going to go with this company that comes and does "grilling" for you, but it ended up being expensive! So, we actually ordered food from whole foods. It was wonderful!

We had more than enough food, they were able to accommodate us on short notice and they served a variety of foods (we had meat eaters and non meat eaters)

Anyhow, they were very good

I second Whole Foods (Whole Paycheck) Compared to catering companies the prices aren't bad. I ordered some side dishes to supplement my Thanksgiving dinner.

I went to many a Bill's BBQ catered party. They bring everything you just stand there and enjoy. Bill's has a fleet of catering vehicles. When I lived in NC it was the height of hoity country toity to have them do your party.
Bill's Barbecue: Catering

Of course not everyone is going to want a pig picking party, in which case I will agree with dragonfly and say go italian. I have to watch my italian exclamations, some folks on this forum are anti pasta! Get it! anti pasta? Ok Ok it was not that funny.

Talking You are too funny, Penciltucky!

So bad. Pickin's is good! But that Italian food! Talk about comfort! Especially their fresh baked breads. Oh and they have cannoli, too.

I cannoli, you cannoli?
