The Apex "Peak Fest" is this Saturday (5/5) - I haven't been yet but I understand it's pretty fun (and I'm going this year).

Formed in 1999, the Apex Festival Commission plans and organizes Peak Fest (the first weekend in May). The festival Commission is made-up of; The Town of Apex, The Downtown Business Association, Apex Chamber of Commerce and Branch Bank and Trust (BB&T).
Peak Fest features over 200 vendors with a wide variety of arts and crafts. There will be also plenty of entertainment with stages with music and dance acts, rides, and roving street performers, see map for stage lineups . Also don't forget about that delicious festival food. The festival is from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm on Salem Street in historic downtown Apex, free and open to the public.
