We just returned from our annual RV vacation to NC. After 5 days near Asheville, we were on our way to the Washington area, and got lost in Raleigh trying to get on 264. Anyways, we drove along Ridge rd, and passed Airline (or Airport rd or dr)--this was NE of downtown--it was a beautiful area, lots of trees and attractive homes. Is this considered a real desirable area? What are the prices like? Would've checked out more, but DH towing the camper and lost at the same time is [b]NOT[b]a charming combination!!

Ridge Road is not NE of downtown, it is West/Northwest, just Inside The Beltline. I use it as a shortcut from my home near NC State to get to Crabtree Valley Mall.

It's a real nice area...part of the larger "Ridgewood" neighborhood, which is just west of the "Budleigh" neighborhood. Those neighborhoods are a bit up there in price, due to location. You can find similar homes in University Park, Oberlin, and Five Points for a tad less, I think.
