Which pharmacies (especially in Chapel Hill) are offering discounted flu shots for the regular seasonal flu and the H1N1 nasal spray? Are you willing to try a pharmacy to save money or are you going to go ahead and pay for an office visit and the shot/spray for the "swine flue"?

We will be getting the seasonal flu shot at work. We get them for free.
Cary offers free flu shots October 17th, but they go fast.
We will NOT be getting the swine flu shot. Too many reports of devastating results from the shot. It's just not worth it. The nasal spray one is even worse, as it is made from LIVE virus. They have warnings about that most everywhere.
I've had flu-like symptoms from the one seasonal flu shot I had when I was in college. Not going to do it again. Don't think anyone in my family will be getting the shot or the H1N1 spray. If you're healthy otherwise, probably better to just let your immune system do its job.
Kerr Drug North Hills were giving sesonal flu shots today. My daughter got one this afteroon with no wait and free with Blue Cross card. I got mine a few weeks ago at the same location. I understand Kerr offers them at different locations on different dates.
The seasonal flu shot cannot give you the flu. It is made with DEAD virus.
OK then I guess it was a coincedence that I got the shot and a day or 2 later got the flu (more than once). Either way, I didn't exactly get a lot out of it.
I usually get mine at HEB pharmacy. With our insurance there's no copay.
This might sound strange, but I've heard several people reluctant to get their flu shot at drugstores and grocery stores because they don't trust the person doing the injection. Many have the mis-guided impression its just done by a grocery store clerk!
They are done by a licensed pharmacist who's had additional training in administering injections. You're in good hands! Also, many are hesitant because they fear lack of privacy. Usually the shot is given in the arm, but sometimes in the buttocks. They have a private room for such. You're not expected to drop your drawers while they fetch a clerk off the checkout line to figure out the shot
Harris-Teeter pharmacy offers the flu shot. And a $5 store coupon if you get your shot by the end of October.
