Wow, you pretty much summed them up.

The Longbranch, The Bell Tower, Saddlack's, Oakwood, The Cantina and East Village (are they even there anymore?) Mission Valley shopping Center, the Rialto, Cup a Joe's.

Yeah, it was terrible but it was a classic. Do you remember that McDonald's that was in an old movie theatre and showed b&w movie clips? I think that it was on Hillsborough st.

Oh heck yes!!!!! It was right across from NC State! I spent a lot of time in the McD's between classes.
Do you remember a bar on that same part of Hillsborough that was upstairs, sort of like mitch's, but it was a dance club? I can't rememebr the name of that place, but we used to go there all the time too. It was somewhere down near where Ratskeller was.
Hey, Ratskeller is a Raleigh classic too, right?

I was just a kid back then. I think you have about 10 years on me. I also went to UNC. I know a little about Hillsborough St b/c my sister went to school in the area.
