My husband was recently let go. He has 15 yrs experience in Grocery. Asst store manger and Produce manager for many years.
He is willing to drive 30 miles one way from Wake forest and will take anything as a way to get his foot in the door. His references are his last two Store Managers, and a manager he worked with at Publix, about 6 yrs ago.
He is a disciplined worker that has NEVER gotten a bad yearly review, is well liked by his co-workers and rarely misses a day of work. The reason he was let go was, " ridiculous,"( his store bosses quote) and both the area manager and his store manager fought for 4 days to keep him. Bottom line, they wanted to dump his salary. So his references are excellent.
He will take any position to get his foot in the door and is more than willing to prove himself. He is a great guy, with a great work ethic.
PM me if you are looking for an employee that you will be hard pressed to find a harder worker, a more reliable guy, and a honest man that gets along with just about everybody due to his excellent management style!
Thanks for listening.

Trader Joe's is opening up a brand new Store in Raleigh on October 30th. It is located on Wake Forest Road right by 440. Might be worth checking out.

Good Luck!

At least this is the time of year when the retail stores are hiring their hoiday help, so his experience should give him a nod over the other hundreds who are applying. With luck, he can get on as a holiday temp at somewhere he's like to end up permanently, and they will see he's good and find a reason to keep him

thanks you so much for this info, all of you. Please keep them coming! so many times applying for jobs is so impersonnal now. All done online and no one gets to meet and see the applicant. Very hard to get hired that way unless you get extreamly lucky!
So keep them coming and cross fingers! Thanks

Unfortunately, things have really gone downhill in 2009. The Triangle area survived 2008 barely missing a beat. Not the same result in 2009. Hopefully things will pick up in 2010. Timing may work out well in your situation, with holidays approaching and then the new year.

Best of luck.
