I'm moving from out of state and would like to settle in a friendly, clean, family oriented neighborhood near Raleigh that has great schools.

Any recommendations please?

Thanks

That question reminds me of elementary school Catechism classes long ago: "Where is God?" "God is everywhere."

"Where are nice friendly neighborhoods with good schools?"

"Nice friendly neighborhoods with good schools are everywhere."

For specific recommendations you will need to give more information (specifics).

What price range? $150K or $850K (or somewhere in-between)

What do you mean by "near Raleigh"? Do you want to be near downtown Raleigh, North Raleigh or just within 30 minutes of Raleigh? There are numerous towns that might work, Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Holly Springs, Clayton ect...

There are simply too many family friendly neighborhoods to list without knowing more about what it is you are looking for and what your criteria are.

Think of it this way, you wouldn't simply walk into the GAP and say "I need some pants". The questions is, what specifically are you looking for? Help us narrow things down.

A nice family friendly area is Wake Forest. I would look there.....Heritage, Moss Creek, etc. It is a beautiful area and I fell in love with it when I moved here 3 years ago.

I'm looking at the $200-$300,000 range..my main goals are Good Schools and Nice Folks and Families in a Safe Neighborhood. I'll be working north of Raleigh off Route 440.. ideal commute if 20 minutes or less

Thanks!!!

It is difficult to reply simply because this area is actually quite large!!!! Will you be in North Raleigh near Glenwood Ave, Six forks, leesville road???? The more specific information you can provide, the more suggestions you will receive! Right now, the area has the 440 beltline (which we call the beltline) and then there is 540 (the outer loop, although people call it 540). Before 540, north raleigh was really considered anything north of 440, now that has changed! 440 is almost "midtown" and things north or close to 540 are considered north raleigh. Are you confused yet?

if you have additional information (street names) of where you will work it will help people figure out neighborhoods to suggest.

Good luck

Leigh

A better analogy would be walking into a mall and saying "I need some pants."
