Join the 10th Annual Mutt Strutt Dog Walk!

Historic Oak View County Park

  • Meet dogs available for adoption
Bring your family and your four-legged canine friends to the 10th annual Mutt Strutt Dog Walk! Admission is free. Enjoy the demonstrations while casually strolling the one-mile dog walking path. In addition to meeting the dozens of exhibitors and vendors who will be showing their wares, participants will also have an opportunity to enter raffle drawings for hundreds of dollars in gift certificates and items from local restaurants and businesses. You can also meet dogs that are available for adoption from local rescue groups and the County's Adoption Center. Rabies vaccinations ($5) and microchips ($10) will be offered, as well.

T-shirtsT-shirts will be available for purchase at the event for $5 each. All proceeds benefit the Wake County Animal Care, Control and Adoption Center's Foster Program.

ContestsTrophies will be awarded to the winning dog of each category.

RaffleEnter to win raffle items by purchasing $1 tickets, or 6 tickets for $5. Raffle items include gift certificates from area vendors, gift baskets, pet merchandise and service packages.

Bringing Your Dog?
  • Your dog must wear a current rabies tag or receive its rabies vaccination on site.
  • Keep your dog on a 6-foot or shorter leash.
  • Clean up after your dog. Plastic bags will be provided.
  • Water will be available.
Fundraising ProceedsThe Mutt Strutt Dog Walk is the Wake County Animal Care, Control & Adoption Center's annual fundraiser. This year, all proceeds will benefit the Center's Animal Foster Program. The program provides temporary homes for dogs and cats that are too young or sick to be adopted. Funds will support the provision of medical care, supplies and food for the foster animals.

sounds like fun! would like to go..........
but I have older dogs & chose not to have the dog flu vaccine.
therefore, can't have exposure to a lot of dogs.
