Don't know when the cut off is to order it, but if you're willing to take a bit of a drive, the General Store Cafe in Pittsboro is offering it.... We saw the menu for it when we were there last weekend and it looked delicious, as all their food there is. General Store Cafe Home Page

looking for a thanksgiving turkey that i don't have to heat, other than in micro as oven not working. i can prepare the rest in them micro but don't know where to order from. most have to be heated in oven -- kind of in a jam other than eating out and prefer to have leftovers.
can anyone help? live in wake forest nc

Earthfare is also offering Thanksgiving Menu options a la cart. You can get a frozen or already cooked turkey, I believe.

Lowes Food will be open to 3pm on Thanksgiving. I know they are offering cooked turkeys and meal options. I'm not sure if they offer pick ups on Thanksgiving though.

I cook my turkey in a crockpot as I prefer it that way. So if you have a crockpot that may be another option for you. Buying one, might be cheaper than a cooked turkey too.

We've been happy with Golden Corral and Cracker Barrel in the past. This year we're trying a ham from HoneyBaked Ham and I'll probably still get the sides from Golden Corral. Don't get a whole turkey from HoneyBaked as they give you a frozen turkey. A fully cooked then frozen turkey that you have to defrost for 2 days and then heat for several hours.

Support a local business! The good guys who run Porchetta, both of whom have solid professional cooking experience are doing Thanksgiving Dinners. For $150 you get a 14 pound turkey spiced with their spice blend, butternut squash stuffing, ratatouille, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, corn bread, and pumpkin pie, enough food for 8 people OR you can get just the turkey through them without the fixings, although I'm not sure of that price offhand. We did this option last year and it was one of the best turkeys we've ever had. You can pick up the turkey/meal on Thanksgiving day from their commissary in Durham between 11 and noon, so it may be a good idea to have a great dinner without having to lift a finger besides a drive to/from Durham.

Honey Baked Ham is another option. I've always found good coupons online, so it's pretty reasonable, and their food is great.

timely thread . .was going to cook dinner but I'd rather be out playing.
We did Whole Foods in the past and very good but going to look at something a little more affordable like Lowe's.
TY!

Tastes even better as left overs cause all the seasonings are well blended.
I agree. One of the best parts of Thanksgiving is all the leftovers -- hot turkey sandwiches, hot and sour turkey soup, turkey pot pies, turkey tamales...
