If you like Chinese food, you may want to try Mr. Wok at the intersection of 54 and 55. It's a very decent buffet, only $6. I am not sure they open during the weekends, though.

Ferlo's Alimentari in Plantation Square (off Capital Boulevard in Raleigh). Authentic Italian deli foods. Make your own sandwich for $5.95 a pound, or try a DE-LI-CIOUS steak & greens sandwich! Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Grand Asia Market in Cary has a lunch counter that is great and a lot of fun. Standard dishes on the menu, more authentic dishes in the steamer bins at the counter (stewed pig ear strips, etc.). And the market itself is amazing!

Another for Cookout! Be sure to get hushpuppies and a coke float...I think a combo with a burger is only $4 something...

Oh yes! I love Grand Asia Market, but I'm sure part of that is because my mom is Korean...that place is amazing...I remember when it was 1/3 of the size it is now...even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to just walk around and see what they have...
