I know this might be wishful thinking, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any stores that sell antique jewelry (or any antiques) at reasonable prices within an hour of the Triangle. I am hoping that there's a little hole-in-the-wall place, perhaps outside the city, where I can find some hidden gems. Thanks!

If you're willing to drive to Tarboro, there's a place like that on Main St. downtown called Above&Beyond. Been around a while, nice people.

Perfect place for you is:

Ordinary and Extraordinary in Cary.

It's right in the center of town in Ashworth Village. Although it is an upscale shopping center, the prices are very good. Nice owners. And they have a layaway program that lets you take 2 months if you find something you can't live without and don't have the funds on hand

I will have to check out the store in Tarboro, too!

Antiques Emporium in Cameron Village is a great place for antique/estate jewelry. Check them out here:

Antiques Emporium - Jewelry Gallery (http://www.antiquesemporium.vpweb.com/JewelryGallery.html - broken link)

Very nice people.

Will have to check out that one, too. I haven't been to Cameron Village in forever.

Great thread, any more to add to the list?
