considering landmark apts on landmark dr. next to hospital. I'm retired single woman who likes to walk her dog a lot. is this an ok area for walking in the evening. i hope to use the public buses as well. i checked out the apts website and looks ok to me from that, but what do you locals have to say about this complex and area? is it a real hi traffic area with a lot of noise? how's the bus system in the area? thanks for your opinions.
This is only my opinion, for what it's worth. The area in general is nice. I like it because there are trees and just like the feel of the area and that it's close to downtown. BUT the Landmark Apts seem very rough around the edges compared to any other complexes I've seen in that area. They are very affordable but I think it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". Hopefully someone on here actually lives/lived there and can give more accurate feedback.

thanks for your input, that's what i was hoping to hear......what someone's first hand input is. i know websites don't always reflect reality. good to know the area is ok, so i'll keep the area in mind. the apts are unusual in that for a one bedroom they are almost 1100 sq feet! that's what caught my eye. but don't want anything that's run-down though. thanks again.
I agree with what sowk09 said about Landmark. I have stayed at Meredith Village Apartments (now Grand Arbor Reserve I think) just to the east of Landmark--also a little "rough around the edges."
If you want to stay on that bus line you might consider Edwards Mill Apartments. Haven't stayed there but they look okay. Walking in the area should be no problem.
