You both are going to be bored out of your skulls here.

LA -- for obvious reasons. And it's gets cold.

Montana -- for lack of vistas. And it gets really hot in the summer.

I'm starting a family so I doubt I'll be bored. Plus, I don't use LA like other young single ppl do. I'm either always working or relaxing recovering from working long hours. Its super hard to raise a kid in LA....I made it through with lots of luck.

It's beautiful, have been there on business years ago. my research says it's been judged one of the most liveable cities in the us. very highly educated population, acturally highest in nation. also the real estate values are very low right now. and lots of stuff to do. mild weather for sure which is a big one for me.

i escaped from la la land years ago, there's nothing NOTHING about ca that i've missed. and billings is great, great people open land peacful. but one thing i don't like SNOW cold ok can put on a coat and boots, but i'm an outdoors person and the months snow's on the ground is like jail time for me. gett to old for snow anymore. love being outside everyday for hikes and sunshine. it snows here but the good part is the sun still comes out lots though. so good. it's bee nice to be on the east coast to do more exploring. i've been all over the west.

Thanks but it'll be awhile before I can get over there. Can you recommend a subburb of raleigh that is a quiet bedroom community with light traffic that's no longer then 15 min drive to town? I hope to find a place to buy that's not in the hight rent district. from the area stats crime isn't a big problem anywhere around raleigh. don't care about the schools, just a quiet neighborhood.
