There are some great heavily treed neighborhoods with easy access to the RBC Center...
Medfield, Meredith Woods, Oak Park, Laurel Hills,

A quick look at MLS... you can buy an existing home in Stonehenge at the upper end of your price range. Same for Sussex Acres (across Norwood Road from Wood Valley). I really like the Stonehenge location - very convenient to RTP, downtown Raleigh, shopping, etc. But you do get a bit more land in the Falls Lake watershed area, and it is very convenient to RTP as well.

Check out Greystone, which is right next to Stonehenge and has a nice lake with a walking path around it, along with a community center, tennis and pool.

I think I saw some homes in there recently for sale. Price ranges vary a great deal, though, from 200 to 400, I think.

Lots of trees, and after decades, they're still standing. Imagine that!
