My wife and I like to get massages once in a while but sometimes it is great to get a quick 15 minute chair massage in a pinch without the expense or hassle of making an appointment at a spa. Were we used to live there was a place at the Mall that offered on the spot chair massages for $1 a minute. Does anybody know any places like this where you can get a quick chair massage in Raleigh? I think they do it once in a while at Whole Foods, but can't think of any where else off the top of my head. I thank you and my aching back thanks you!

I do know that at Cary Towne Center and South Point they have the set up for $1 per minute for a chair massage. Good luck and I hope your back feels better

I bought a really great chair massage at the GNC store on Creedmoor Rd. at Christmas for my boyfriend. He said it works great. He gets a bad back sometimes and sits there, and it really helps him. I think it is about $150 but if your a GNC member you get it for just a little over 100. There is also a healthy back store on 70 in Pleasant Valley Promanade.

I actually indulged in a chair massage at Soutpoint when we were down for a visit. It's on the first floor and owned by a Korean couple. The guy worked on me and at some points, he was actually too deep (but it passed and I didn't speak up). After, man, my whole body felt WONDERFUL...I am without question a massage snob, and leaving my massage therapist is definitely one of the down sides of moving to NC. But this guy was pretty amazing. I think it was $15 or $20, plus tip (of course) and he wasn't bound to the clock (i.e., he went longer than the alloted 15 minutes). ENJOY!!!

And if anyone happens to know of any great therapists, particularly in the Siler City/Pittsboro area, please speak up!! Thanks.

Is it right in the middle of the mall? I'd feel very strange getting a massage at one of those kiosks with the whole mall walking by (is that weird?)

I have heard they give chair massages at a spa called D'Elegance near the Finley Y behind that shopping center where the Goodberry's is. (My sister works at the spa and told me this). $10 for the chair massage and I'm not sure how long that's for.
