Welcome Pompeii - good to have long-term input coming from Durham - seems like we Cary/Raleigh-ites sometimes over-represent Raleigh b/c we are answering most. :-)

Hello from a City-Data family member! Welcome to the place to learn the triangle from a square, circular, and trapezoidal standpoint! I am always amazed to be mazed with the information about the Triangle and its rectangular points that some say can be shown on a scatter plot graph. Don't know though never did the math.
Anywho welcome and may the geometric shape of your choosing be with you! Happy Tuesday!
Thanks for the hardy welcome...believe me..I am not intimidated by smart-mouth comments...I can hold me own. I work in Durham, NC but Live in Burlington.....moving on...I used to be called ejohnson on the skyscraper.com page. I am a big supporter of the Triangle. I have had my share of pointless battles of Triad vs Traiangle, Raleigh vs Charlotte, Charlotte vs everbody (big bully), whose is pulling for the second place with the best skyline behind Chartlotte (Raleigh or Winston) LOL. Its all done in the spirit of loving what what interest you. North Carolina , as a whole is a wonderful place.....u do not have to leave the state to go on a great vacation because there is alot to do contained in NC.
I tell most in these forums that each city has a uniqueness about them, but they are all the same.....
Our five larger cities in the middle of the state
big city (by NC standards) in the mountowns (Asheville)
big city (by NC standards) at the coast (Wilmington)
all nestled between rural countryside and sand hills.......thats my take
