I'm looking for a jeweler that stocks women's sizes of tungsten rings. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, or maybe they don't exist. Is there one in the area? I've tried ordering online and would prefer to try them on for fit but haven't found a store with stock (instead they try to convince me I need some expensive platinum bobble).

I know an independent jeweler in the area who would probably do his best to order you some and let you try them on ? I will PM you his info if you like--he is in Cary.

Cool, I haven't heard that term in 30 yrs! Tungsten as in Tungsten Steel? I have rec'd a flyer in the past from a jeweler who sells steel rings in Raleigh, unfortunately I can't remember where(?) you might try CMI Jewelry.
I used to have some steel jewelry from overseas, loved it! It looks better for longer...

Tungsten carbide is what I'm interested in. It's almost as hypoallergenic as titanium and much harder. Every jewelry store has it in 8mm size 8 to 12 but I want something 4mm ish in a 5 1/2 or 6 and haven't had any luck. I have ordered two online so far, both were too big because they are comfort fit and I'm getting tired of ordering and waiting 2 weeks between trying sizes.

Try calling Sparrowwood Jewelers (919) 781-0212. They definitely have tungsten rings, but I'm not sure about what sizes they carry in stock.
