Hello! We bought some property a while back that has a 1980 mobile home on it. We built our new house behind it and now we have to sell the mobile home since you are only allowed to have one house on a property. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to sell it? I have noticed relatively few listings in the newspaper and on Craigs list but I have no idea where to post it for sale. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We inherited one and sold it within 2 weeks on Craigslist. It was a 1980-something, not in great shape, set up in a park. We got a few thousand for it.

the catch the OP has is that the trailer needs to be moved. I was in the exact position. Only mine was a 1978. If you have aluminum wiring (as mind did) you're flat out of luck, as no one will be able to get a permit to hook it up to power. What I ended up doing is posting it as scrap metal, but whoever wanted the metal had to come get it and remove it. I was stuck with the wooden frame/walls which I am burning a little at a time. We just could not afford the 2000.00 it would have cost to haul it away.

My advice is if it has acceptable wiring, give it away as fast as you can!!! it will cost at best 1800.00 to move it from one location to another.

Donate it to the local fire company and let them burn it for fire training. Then sell the remaining metal for scrap.
Otherwise drag it to the back of your property and call it a storage shed.
