The best list for Winston-Salem is at helpourbabies.org. The one suggested for smokefreeworld lists only one place.

Thanks for posting these lists. I just moved from NY and my wife is very picky when it comes to smoke. We will end up getting reseated almost guaranteed if there is smoking anywhere in the place.

Oh - too bad for NC! The smoking issue may be a stumbling block to our move to NC - just not sure we "can go backwards" on this issue.. Eating a meal in a smokey restaurant Yuck!

It is a blast to the past. I think that in time resturants will come around. Whats funny is that I was in NY when they introduced the law and the owners of resturants raised a HUGE fit about how they were all going to go out of business. Nothing happened. I still had to wait an hour or more to get into most resturants, so it didn't seem to phase them. It had to have an effect on their cleaning costs, and it sure makes the dining experience a lot nicer. The only downside is you have to walk throught a big smoke cloud to get into the resturant, but if you hold your breath you can walk quickly and get in without inhaling! I am seeing some resturants around the Triangle saying they are going to being smoke free. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of the national chains do this, which will put pressure on the smaller ones to follow.
