I need to move a baby grand piano from Atlanta to Cary. Does anyone know of a good piano mover that works in the Southeast? I have no idea how to find a reputable piano mover.
For local moves, I know that Hopper and Ruggero (both piano stores) have great reputations. For somewhere distant like Atlanta, I don't know if there is such thing as a long-distance piano mover? You might have to use a regular mover.
Also looking for recommendations on this. In this case, I need to get a studio upright from NY to Durham. I left a message with Frank Austin, but would appreciate any other recommendations.
Jimmy, I ended up using Modern Piano Moving, and they were wonderful. Here is their website: Home
I basically called everyone that these people recommended and then a few extra. Modern Piano Moving gave me a good price (one of the lowest), were professionals all the way around, and delivered my baby scratch-free.
Maybe have a piano store in ATL pack it up for you then drive it up here in a U-Haul. Then have a piano store put it up for you in Cary.
