Hi, I live in Cary and I am wondering what the curfew ordinance actually states. I have heard two different things from various cops and I am curious the truth. I can't seem to find the ordinance online. Thanks for your help.
If it's late enough, and you're young enough, and the cops are telling you to go home, maybe you should just go home.
maybe it's because my age still leans more toward 'teenager' than it does 'teenager's parent', but i would have to say that's crap. unless there is a legal curfew or the person is violating some other law, a cop shouldn't have any say in when and where someone of ANY age should be.
yeah, it's possible a teenager out at late hours is up to no good. then again, unless you're working, the same could be said for people of ANY age out and about at the wee hours. actually, that goes double for anyone over 21 that can legally drink.
should a teenage be out that late? probably not, but cops exist to enforce laws, not babysit.
