The town of Chapel Hill voted in favor Monday night at a special session allowing alcohol to be served starting at 10 a.m. Sundays effective next weekend. Raleigh and Carrboro already added the allowance just enacted by the state's Brunch Bill, and Durham may join them when it meets in session next on July 27. Anybody know of the status of any other Triangle municipalities planning to join this movement?

IIRC, Durham is waiting until their next council session to approve the brunch bill. They're on summer break right now

Lol, exactly.

Obviously once they get back from recess Durham will be more than happy to pass this.

Cary town manager in his report at the last council meeting noted the change in state law was coming and gave a heads-up that once it passed they'd be drafting local language for the council's approval. Cary's next regular council meeting is July 27, but the agenda isn't available yet.
