We've arrived here in North Carolina, coming from Colorado. This forum has been a fabulous resource! We arrived on Tuesday, went house hunting all day Wednesday (in Clayton). We fell in love with the last house of the day. We revisited it on Thursday, put in a contract that afternoon. It was accepted this morning! We love the Clayton area...but will have a hard time learning our way around as we are used to the big city and signs posted between the red lights!!

I just wanted to give encouragement to those hoping to secure a job from out of state (we did that...it took 3 months).

The neighborhood is Meredith Acres...not sure where that is though! LOL We still don't really have our bearings. We know it's about 7 miles from West Johnston.

You're in the "Cleveland" section of Clayton. You are south of 42 and west of 70 and east of 40. If you picture a big upside down U....you're smack in the middle of it. ENJOY!

I envy people that can come here and find a house in 48 hours. It took us closer to 48 WEEKS to find a house, and it's not even the "perfect" house.

Cakeprincess.....how long have you been in Flowers? I drive by Flowers and your pool a few times a week going to my trainer/gym (across from the Food Lion). I love the trail you guys have and see many taking advantage of it.

Hubby and I just got back from a visit to Estes Park in Colorado.

Its always so interesting to me to see an area from the plane. Colorado looked nothing like NC; however, the mountains are gorgeous.

Welcome to NC! We have oxygen!!!
