what do you want us to do about it? switch providers if you are unhappy. try clearwire, uverse, verizon dsl, aol dial up (lol), earthlink.

TWC will give you a credit when there is an outage so make sure you document everything.

are your neighbors with TW also experiencing the same outages? If not, it could be a problem in the cable going to your house or inside your house.....

My be you should contact them and have them come out and check your lines. Don't take no for an answer when they tell you that there's no problems in your area.

It may be that your modem needs to be replaced as I had a similar problem once and that was the culprit. If you have the same problem again today, disconnect everything and wait a few minutes & re-connect it. If everything starts to work like normal I would ask to have that modem replaced with a new one immediately because you will continue to have that problem over & over I promise you. Also, be sure that they don't try to give you a used or refurbished one.

The OP said that the automated system is telling him that there is an outage in his area each time. That indicates that it's not his lines or his modem but a broader problem.

I think that this person was just venting his frustration and did not deserve a smart ass answer, but maybe that's just me.

I experienced and outage yesterday, including cable and internet....my mom in Brier Creek as well...this was around 10:00 am until about 11:00 am on Sunday, 12/9/12...it was one of many outages in the past few weeks...it's frustrating to say the least, but I'm sure other providers are no better, my opinion ofcourse...
