I wouldn't mind a middle of the week snow.... I just hate the weekend snow when you have to be cooped up all weekend and head back to work Monday. A Wednesday off would be nice!

you know you can actually go outside when it's snowing an inch or two, right?

...and dogs learn very quickly to do their business in the snow. My little dog acted like the snowflakes were out to hit him, and he tried to dodge them, but after a few minutes, he still did what he had to do.

The issue is the lack of road crews and plows here in the triangle area. 12+ inches of snow becomes a true pain in the Arse. I would rather deal with the snow they are having up north because for all the FEET of snow they have recieved they get a SNOWPLOW up and down their streets and they can shovel themselves and go places. But here you would be stuck for days...

Me too! I've been using a garden shovel and dust pan.

Just heard from the "news" that this has been the coldest winter in Raleigh for "at least 30 years". While it has been colder than normal, we have only received our average amount of snow (7"). The eastern part of the country has been very cold and snowy this winter. Many areas have received record snowfall amounts. Dulles Airport in Virginia has gotten 72" of snow this season which is of course a record. Pittsburgh, PA has received 42" of snow, which is also apparently a record (would have though they would have had more in the past?).

"Experts" also predict that this current weather pattern could stick around for a few more years, which would bring colder and wetter winters to the Triangle and all of the east coast.

Speaking for myself and others who work outdoors;

May all precipitation fall on the weekends. If someone could arrange that I'd be really grateful.
