Our daughter had a car accident and was cited from the police officer. Should we pay the ticket, hire an attorney , or go to court ourselves. Everyone is fine but she only got her license about 5 months ago. any advice would be great.
thanks

I'm not an attorney so my advice is worth $0. You're going to get attorney solicitations in the mail if you haven't already. Most of them will offer a free consultation, so call them and ask for advice. I don't think you should simply pay the ticket, without at least consulting an attorney. Going to court yourself can work for speeding tickets, but not sure about moving violations that result in accidents.

You should go to court and bring proof that your insurance company is taking care of the accident - they should issue you a letter. Most likely the ticket will be dismissed.
