Does anyone know what Prince Grocery is on old Hwy 55 between Apex and Holly Springs? I see lots of cars in the parking lot late at night, and shady looking people standing inside, and I am wondering what kind of "groceries" this place sells

What do you mean by "shady"? That store has been there for as long as I can remember. I saw a guy doing airbrush artwork there one day...I'm hoping he comes back. I didn't have time to stop last time I saw him there.

Airbrush artwork? You mean those horribly ugly T-shirts that guy was selling? Does this place even sell groceries?

So it's more of a social club than a grocery store? I have to admit I would like to know what that place is all about.

When I've driven by at night I've seen people inside playing pool. I wouldn't say they look "shady" as I'm not going to make assumptions based on skin color or clothing. Wall street business men, no, but not "shady" either. Definitely not a grocery store.

I've often wondered myself what that place is all about. Never seen it open during the day.

I drove past this place nearly every day - must admit, it does look pretty dodgey. Now my curiosity is piqued, I will have to stick my head in.

I lived right down the street in Bridgewater and passed by there every day for 3 years. I think I saw a beer sign light up in the window, so maybe the can serve some type of booze?

HS is a weird place at times. Lot of old houses and buildings around newer developments. Didn't bother me much, though.

I never had any problems in the 'springs and felt pretty safe. Some of the older residents may have been there 30-40 years and don't look like they want to leave.

Some of these houses look like they're on stilts, though, and should probably be bought up and developled. The springs does look like a town stuck in the past and trying to go to the future.
