Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are in Raleigh for the week (visiting from MA) and are looking for suggestions for nightlife. We're already going to the comedy club one night and to a Bruins/Canes game another night.

I hate dance clubs and loud music. I like good beer, a place you can have a conversation, and some good food on the side would be nice too!

I read over some forums and have taken these places into consideration- Five Star, Humble Pie, Poole's Diner, and Amedeo's North. Any input?

Thanks in advance!

Went to Lilly's and Third Place tonight & LOVED both of them. I really enjoyed Five Points!

I checked out Isaac Hunter's online & it does seem like a place we would have a good time at. I think we'll swing by there tomorrow night! Thanks so much for the recommendation!

If you want good beer, check out the Flying Saucer. They have about everything you could want.

Maybe if you live in the suburbs. Even then, only if you lack motivation. I manage to find plenty of trouble to get into!

We went out to Solas a couple of weekends ago, the food was good, the rooftop bar was quite cool. We went to the hiberian pub after, which is just a classic, in my opinion. Lots of places on glenwood to hit up!
