We started having showings for our house in Central Massachusetts on Sunday and someone who saw it on Tuesday has put in an offer. I can't believe this is moving along so quickly.

If my husband has his way we could be in Chapel Hill by the end of the month! We will be staying in temporary housing while we househunt. Does anyone have any recommendations for long-term accommodation in Chapel Hill, preferably in the East Chapel Hill High School district?

I am nervous and excited at the same time!

HOORAY!!!! I'm so excited for you, Jackie! With any luck at all, you'll be shopping at A Southern Season before the summer is out.

Ditto WLP! Here in the Northern suburb of Chicago, the housing market is practly DEAD. We have a subdivision that is builing 1300 homes. This new development is killing the existing home market. My family & I are chomping at the bit to move to NC before the next school year begins. In 2 month's we have had 2 showings. SHEEEESH!

We're selling a home in Central MA. What town are you in? Are you moving with Fidelity?

Congratulations Jatlas.

We are lucky here in Flagstaff that the housing market has slowed a bit but still appreciating.

Those buying under $450,000 and over $900,000 are the strongest markets.

Half of the homes here are owned by folks from Phoenix area and CA.

As my home falls in the latter market folks usually don't have a home to sell and come in with cash.

As I have a lot of equity in it I will price it to sell when I place it on the market and relocate. I already have neighbors wanting me to let them know when I plan to place it on the market as they have people looking on our street.

I wish all of you that are in a slow market the best in successfulling selling your homes. I am sure this is a very stressful time for you.

Linda

The market is slowing. She either priced the house "right" or lucked up in finding a buyer. One sale does not make a market.
