Do any of you use them for your termite treatments/pest control? The sellers of the home we're buying currently use them, but we wanted some other perspectives before deciding who to use going forward.
we used them when we lived in cary, they were fine, but expensive and the had some issues with billing errors. When we moved to wake forest we switched to pest and termite consultants and we have been happy with them
I too experienced billing problems - never did get a promised rebate from an overbilling, despite checking back what felt like 400 times. I now use Kil-Mor Pest and am happy.
I used to use them and got rid of them for the exact same reason - billing issues. They are also famous for raisign your price but convienently forgetting to let you know until you get the bill.
Just curious- is this something that everyone living in NC needs? Is it just part of the cost of living in the area? What do they do- just come out and spray around the house once a month?
We haven't needed a monthly pest control service, but we do have (and I think most people do, or should) an annual termite service - they do one treatment, then come back and check yearly. If you pay the annual fee, and they find termites before the term is up, they do the next treatment for free. Or at least that's my understanding.

I think the annual termite service is just an inspection and you are really paying for an insurance bond in case termites show up. It is my understanding that because of the hazardous chemicals they use companies cannot treat unless there are actually signs of active termites present. We paid for that service in FL and were shocked to find that they were not even treating for them & was illegal for them to do so unless we already had an infestation.
We currently use HomeTeam (formerly Centex pest control) and are happy with them. I had them in FL too. Our home has "Tubes in the Walls" so we don't have to have inside treatment as long as we don't have any signs of pests inside - and thank goodness don't have! The tubes create an invisible barrier via perforated PVC (I think!) in the walls between the inside & outside so nothing outside survives long enough to get inside & no chemicals inside for peeps or pets.
We have some neighborhood construction going on so they keep me stocked in glue boxes, though I have recently taken them up since all we have caught are a couple of skinks and I think they are more helpful than not so don't want to see their demise.
If you are considering the home and wonder about how well the pest control company has performed... they are very competent provided the previous homeowner was diligent about maintaining their contract and calling if they saw any problems. I like Home Team - very friendly staff (Crystal especially).
