Can anybody give me information about Prescious Stone Drive community? I am planning to move in there with my family (2 kids... 1 is 8 years old and the other one is 6 years old) I am looking for a good family oriented community and I was wondering if Prescious Stone Drive is a good one for me and my family? Thank you very much for your comments

It's part of a newer development off of Capital Blvd, just behind Capital Golf Center. I think the community is actually called Shearon Farms. Part of it is townhomes; part is houses.

South of Burlington Mills Road, east of Capital Blvd, Wake Forest address.

Google is my friend.

Sorry, Cruser, I've never been there.

I wonder why they chose to call it Shearon Farms. Recalls Shearon Harris Nuclear Plant, which is on the other side of the Triangle

sll3- thx, ok now I know where it it. Yes, Shearon Farms. I looked at a foreclosure there late last year. The homes are fairly new, nice. It's a small subdiv, not sure if they plan to build more homes? it's classified as in Raleigh I believe from what I remember about the tax situation.

While there are one or two entrances on Capital, there will be an extrance added off ether Mitchell Mill or Burlington Mills Rd? This was actually mentioned in another thread on cd. You just don't hear much about it as subdiv go.

Sorry this is all I know. I'd look up the address on www.wakegov.com to see if the home has appreciated and ck recent comps/sales.

Yes I am sorry that didn't know but it is in the Shearon Farms, but does anybody knows if there is a good family community? I am looking for families with kids, and nice people... and also if the school district is OK... Thank you for your responses...

Shearon Farms is right off Capital. One issue used to be that coming out the front entrance, you can't turn left but now there is a 2nd entrance. I have showed homes in there and they always seemed very nice but I haven't sold any in there. It has a Raleigh address, although it is located between Raleigh and Wake Forest. I don't know any negatives. It looks like a nice area.

BTW - the schools for that neighborhood are excellent. You couldn't ask for a better combination of options.

Cruser, I looked at a townhome there a couple of years ago. It seemed like a nice neighborhood and I liked the townhomes but decided on a single family home off of 401/Louisburg Road.

It is centrally located to almost everything you'd need (ie. Triangle Town Mall, Target, Walmart, numerous restaurants). You cannot go wrong with Heritage Elementary or Heritage Middle (year-round) school and if I recall, both are options for families living in that area.

Best of luck on the move....I know its an exciting but somewhat difficult time for a family!
