I'm currently researching cities to move to in the area and like to hear what people who live there have to say about the cities. City websites just make everything sound wonderful. I'm single, 27, and have two beagles. Is the area dog friendly? Are there fenced in dog parks in the area? What are the rentals like? Average price? I'm coming from the DC metro area, so I'm really looking to pay less for a decent size place. Is this area a good place for single people? Thanks.

Very dog friendly. Yes to fenced in dog parks. Pretty sure you could find something cheaper than DC. I think it's a good area for singles, but I haven't been in that scene in a long long time so I'll let someone else give you the lowdown there.

There are dog parks and yes, it's dog-friendly. But line up a job before deciding to move here; the economy is dismal (especially compared to DC, which apparently has one of the better economies right now).

Def dog friendly! A lot of places to walk and ALL apts take pets. To me, the prices of apts are great...but that could be where we are from. You can get a luxury apt (1brm) for $750. That is cheap to me!!
