I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon that needs some work done: a door won't unlock, one of the window motors has gone bad, some paint has chipped off that I would like repainted, etc. Can anybody recommend a decent auto shop that is not heavy on the wallet?
WASP automotive -> Home (They only do foreign cars though)
I recently tried the new AAA mechanics and they were pretty good also -> Durham, NC – AAA Car Care Center (http://www.aaa-carcarecenter.com/About/Locations/NC/durham.htm - broken link)
I doubt you will find any shop that will do paint and mechanical work. You may want to call Atlantic Tire and see if they will do that kind of work, not sure if they will though. They are right in RTP @ Miami Blvd.
Have you checked with a local Hyundai Dealer to see if they offer shuttle runs to RTP for customers? I know a lot of people do not like Dealerships for service due to typically higher per hour labor prices, but at least they usually have the parts on hand to complete a repair.
We like Frantz Automotive on West Chatham Street in downtown Cary - locally owned & operated. Great customer service & warranties. Less $ than dealerships.
We just had the AC compressor replaced on one of our cars, warrantied work came in a couple hundred under delaership.

Reason: phone
Frantz is great, a few friends work there, they are not in "RTP" but they do great work.
