People talking about bad tick season speak about BiteBlocker but I can't see from the site where to purchase it locally. Isn't it made locally? I don't like to pay shipping when a product is available retail.

Default Lowes (grocery)

Over the past several years I have found it at the Lowes Foods on High House at Davis Dr. I have not bought any there yet this year. It works great but smells terrible. Last I looked there were at least two formulations. Only one of them says it also works on ticks so be sure to check the label. Lowes carries both so you should be able to compare them.

What am I missing? I have not seen a tick yet this year, and we are outside for several hours each day. I have not sprayed the yard or even used any bug repellent yet this season.

We have a very wooded and shady backyard, but we have playground mulch over most of the yard instead of grass or pinestraw. Is that why we are not having a problem maybe? Or just lucky?

They have it at Weaver Street Market in Carrboro and Chatham Marketplace in Pittsboro. I think they also have it at Fitch in Carrboro.
