This week, the Independent Weekly - the free-press paper that serves the Triangle - has released the results of their annual survey of the best the area has to offer. Luckily, they post all of the results on-line!

Uh oh...the owner of Sitar told me last week that he won best of. He's a runner up (which is still great but he thought he won...)

The Durham article is great. I'm not buying a house until the end of the year. I hope I'm not too late for good prices (in St. Petersburg, FL, we had a stretch there were 6-7 months made a huge difference in home prices)

I don't trust these surveys. We went to a restaurant that had won "Best Sandwich" award a couple of years in a row and it was awful. The restaurant was not in the best condition and the sandwiches were not that good either. I wonder if all the employees were told to vote and just by getting 4 or 5 votes, the place was voted "Best".

Sitar won "Best Indian" last year, so what the owner told you was correct. Remember that these results just got published within the last couple of days, so what he told you last week was true at the time.
