Since chicken salad was getting some recognition I recently had thee most amazing bleu cheese potato salad at The Fresh Market that I just had to recommmend. It's a bit pricey but worth every single bit and the bleu cheese puts it over the moon! It's about $4.99 a pound but you'll family, guests, will love it.

I shall take your recommendation under advisement and when back in the area this summer I shall try it out. I must admit I do like my salad with green leafy stuff, tomatoes, cranberries, almonds, bit of spices, and topped with raspberry vinaigrette dressing! But I shall 'spud' it a try!

The best potato salad I've ever had is at Jack Sprat in Chapel Hill on Franklin St. They don't make it themselves, but I never go there without getting the potato salad.

If you want old fashioned southern potato salad, I recommend Red, Hot & Blue (Falls Village Shopping Center).

It is very much your typical southern potato salad and tastes so much like MINE that I don't make it anymore, I just send hubby to get it from Red, Hot & Blue!!!

My parents, being from NY, like a more creamy garlicy potato salad...anyone know where to get that from? I was wondering if that Morrisville Deli (someone had raved about) had it?

Vicki

dansdrive I used to have a similar salad only with baby spinach & sugar snaps added, from a neat place in Durham, Green Tango Green Tango .::. HOME - don't know if we have any in Raleigh/Cary (?). Anyhow, I was addicted to that place! You choose the ingredients and they make it in front of you. Them and Saladelia (med food) have the best fresh salad items.
