Has anyone ever been? Does it fill up fast? Their website says it has a strict no outside food or drink policy - how do they enforce that?

I'd love to go but just want to be prepared thanks

We've been quite a few times. Saw Iron Man 2 last weekend there. It was full by show time--we arrived about an hour before show time and we got a nice spot.
Most of their money is made off of food, not ticket sales, so we honor the no outside food policy. I feel like if I can take my family to a first run movie for less than $20, I'll shell out a little more to buy the food at the concession. :-)
It's a nice "old-school" drive-in. I'd highly recommend it for a night of family fun. Enjoy!
PS-They are also "dog-friendly" !!

Thanks! We'd definitely plan to buy our food and drinks there, they are definitely reasonably priced too...just don't want to get kicked out if I bring my large water bottle I bring everywhere!

Nah, we always bring our own water for the dog, it's all on the honor system.......I'm sure if you pulled out a big grill and threw your own steaks on there, they might say something.....LOL......but you just can't beat buttery, theater popcorn!

Did Somebody say Drive IN Movie theater?

I'm am now going to feel like my 13 yr. old daughter in saying: OMG!

Where and what is the address of this drive in Movie theater? The drive in movie theaters were great in Jersey when I was growing up but they removed them all. How sad we were not to ever be able to go to the Drive in again.

I'm all smiles and perked up now that I just read the news in this thread.. Tell me more!

Home

We took our infant last summer and it was a lot of fun. The place does fill up and the lines get long for food, but it's a great experience. We brought our own water (I drink A LOT) but purchased snacks/snow cones. The drive-in employees do walk around some, but they didn't harass me with my 1 liter water bottle. The only downside is the late hour (we could do it with an infant who could sleep anywhere, but totally impossible with a toddler this year).

Do they use FM radio to broadcast the audio?

I love drive-ins. Cheaper than regular theaters and so much fun, plus then you don't have to deal with all the rude and inconsiderate people around you.

It is a great way to see a movie. For those that dont know, it is in Henderson, NC. They have a website that tells all about it and lists show times and whats playing. They use an F.M. radio station to broadcast sounds. We usually just bring a portable radio and sit back and relax. We take the truck and just sit in the back with folding chairs. Even if we take the car, we will sit outside. They even have chairs there to use. Like one post said, they make their money on concession sales. So we try to support that. It is really cheap compared to movie theaters. It's really cheap compared to a lot of places. You can get dinner and a movie and not break the bank. We live in Franklinton, so it's not that far away. Go on out and check it out for those that havent gone. It's great.

How are the concession prices? Are they pretty reasonable, or are they ridiculously high like the normal theaters?
