H&H bagels - potentially spotted in Durham (Cary: live, food)

I say "potentially" because I'm not convinced they are H&H bagels ... but they are on the menu as such ... it was a really good bagel, just smaller than H&H.

Nosh, Erwin Road, Durham. Great food there! Wanted to pass this along. I'll do some more bagel taste testing there this w/e.

I know, I was so excited!!! I didn't want them to toast it, but they did anyway, so that may have flattened it, heh. I like my H&H everything bagels untoasted, pristine

We lived in Manhattan 10 years and find Bruegger's and NY Bagel (on Falls) up to NYC standards. NY Bagel even has bialys and NYC type baked goods like crumbcake.

I like Bruegger's too! I think they do boil them first so I guess that's it. I haven't tried NY Bagel but next time I'm that way I'll have to check them out.

Note: I once tried to make them and somehow managed to make pretzels.

Manhattan Bagel in Cary is also very good. But I'm not from NY, I'm from Florida...which is *almost* the same thing. :-)

You are correct. Bruegger's bagels are boiled in the traditional NY way.

H&H...Yum....Relocated back to NC 4 years ago, love Wake Forest, but....ah, NY. We visit a couple times a year to walk through the park, see a show, and we always nab a bagel in midtown.
