If you are a resident of Sunset Oaks (Holly Springs), Brighton Forest (Apex/Fuquay Varina) and Park at West Lake (Apex/Cary), I need your help. I like the combination each of these neighborhoods provides. The close proximity to Raleigh and the quiet wooded setting seems to fit what I am looking for. Trying to decide between the three is very difficult. What do you like or dislike about living in each of these neighborhoods? Is there anything I should be aware of? What new construction or roadways will alter what I see today?

Next step is for me to stop someone walking down the road and ask them. All three have a lot of people walking about.

Thank you Francois for the suggestion of posting a question specific to where I have narrowed down my search to. Hopefully this will prove to be fruitful.

I don't want to live that far up and the house are too close and not enough trees.

Quiet Wooded = Amberly? Great neighborhood for other reasons, but quiet & wooded do not come to mind...

Not all neighborhoods in Amberly are clear cut and have houses placed 10 ft away from each other.

Someone must have a house to sell in Amberly. LOL

I'm a former resident of the Park at West Lake. We sold our house back in January. I loved my house & I loved the neighborhood. Great great neighbors. I do not think you would go wrong moving into either of the neighborhoods that you mentioned.

I haven't been following your story so I am not sure if you have kids or not. TPAWL does not have bus service to the elementary school. I believe the other two neighborhoods do. TPAWL is in the "walk zone" & not serviced by buses.

The Water Treatment plant was never an issue for me, but it could affect resale in the future especially if the ecomony doesn't improve. It's certainly a big enough factor to move on to the other neighborhoods you mentioned. Not because it poses any problem, but just because it's there and some people wouldn't consider the neighborhood at all because of it.

We are moving to MA and are renting a house about a mile from our old house until school is out.

I live in Sunset Oaks and love it. We have lived here for 6 months. We were going back and forth between Brighton Forest and Sunset Oaks. I did like the lots better at Brighton Forest, but I liked the houses better at Sunset Oaks. Also, we have 2 little children and found that in Sunset Oaks there are a ton of kids. When we went through the houses at Brighton Forest there were hardly any people walking about and the ones who were didn't seem too friendly (IMO). Also, our house that we bought in Sunset Oaks has gone up in property value and the ones in Brighton Forest have gone down. I am not sure if it has to do with a Holly Springs address compared to Fuquay, but that is what we have heard. Good luck on your decision! It wasn't easy!
