Thought this was interesting given past talk of the panhandling issues in Chapel Hill. I haven't seen any panhandlers in Durham yet but I'm sure they must be around the city somewhere otherwise they wouldn't be looking to address the issue
Thanks for posting Indigo. We don't give money on the streets, but we support our local food bank and mission. In Dallas, we were approached lots of times downtown, but instead of giving money we would suggest taking the person to a MacDonald's or some eatery if they were hungry. They always refused leading us to believe they wanted the money for some other purposes. It's good to see Durham is addressing the situation.
