and two others in serious condition. Thoughts and prayers go out that the wonded officers survive and to the family of the slain officer.

Rapid City was calling for blood donations earlier this week. Perhaps those in the area who can, will.

One thing I noticed and should be pointed out is it wasn't a matter of location or neighborhood, it was a traffic stop.

I was on pins and needles for a bit as I know several officers in Rapid City. Those three, I did not know.

It's sad when something like that happens. My heart goes out to the family of the fallen and I wish a speedy recovery for the wounded.

There is a vigil tonight @ 9pm. at New Beginnings Baptist Church to honor the fallen officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. The surviving officer is still hospitalized and reported as "stable".

Did a second officer die? I can't find anything on the news teams about it.

Last I knew one officer was critical, the other was stable. Suspect died this afternoon.

The suspect died, but the second officer is still critical as of this morning.

Did you see is wrap sheet? DAMN!! What a criminal! I can't believe that a guy that has been in trouble so much with the law is still out walking the streets like nothing he didn't do anything wrong. I know that he spent time in jail, but days after he got out he was arrested for something else, and before he could get to court for that offense, he was arrested AGAIN for something different! What a character.....
