Making a trip to Rapid City from Gillette. I love thrift stores and wondered what are the best thrift store/used clothing stores in Rapid City. No Goodwill, looking for stuff in better condition! Thanks!
If you want good condition in Rapid, I would definitely not pass the Goodwill! I get high end stuff there all the time! I would also look at the one by the Journey Museum - I think it's a Boy's Club something or other. Only been in once, but got a ton of Abercrombie, Guess and GAP for my daughter. There is also Wear it Again Sam's by the hospital, but I think they are overpriced.
Pac-Rat gives me the willies - it's so dark and crowded with stuff.
You'll be happy to know that a Plato's Closet is in the works for Rapid City! They buy and sell new and gently used, brand name teen clothing and accessories. Don't let the "teen" description scare you off though. I know plenty of people in their 30's and 40's who find absolute steals there all the time. You'll definitely want to check Plato's Closet out! My wife LOVES it! Check out: www.platoscloset.com to find out more!
We usually hit the Good Will when down there, their prices are affordable, the Pac Rat we don't hit unless we have to as the prices on some of their items are ASTOUNDING.
Glad to know we are getting a Plato's Closet. Used to shop there a lot when we lived in Indiana.
Made the rounds of the thrift stores again in Rapid this weekend, and I still can't find a place that beats Goodwill on Haines! I got three pair of jeans - all in like new condition - for $13! Brands were Arizona, Levi and Abercrombie. Other places' Goodwill Stores might be questionable, but Rapid's certainly is not!
