Does anybody remember AJ's Bar in the Hotel Alex Johnson. I used to wait tables early 1980's and we had live bands, ladies night and so much fun I can't remember it all.

Broasted Chicken
If you can remember the place and what is was called and where it was in the 1960's. Can't recall myself even though we went there all the time. Anyone recall?

I don’t remember the 60s. Unless you’re talking Daisy Dell.

Where was Studio 21? There was a nice bar south of town back in the late 70's, a white building, inside there were several levels/tiers that had stairs going up, seating on the levels, nice dance floor, and had bands . Peter Tork and the New Monkees performed there in 1979. Donnie Williams played there some as well. I'm trying to remember the name of the place.

I was excited to see them, and it turned out to be a young heavy metal group by the same name. They were very good but the genre gets old for me after about 45 minutes. That was disappointing. I would love to see Wakefield again. I still recognize the keyboard player. He used to walk around with a Rubik's cube that he could solve in about 10 seconds. Do you know how to find out when and where they will be playing? I loved Asia.......Solomon Caine(or whatever they changed their name to), but I don't really remember them now because I put a few too many down in those days. Do you remember the Rockin R and mud wrestling. That was something.

Rod's Rockin R, which used to be Dick's Place, (owned by Dick Archuleta) was a great place for bands. Off of St. Pat. I remember Tryx, RPM, MX-80, Cartune, Leach the Loach, were all staples of the era 1978-1982 or so.

The date Peter Tork and the Monkees played at the Sound Studio at 1438 Mountain View Rd. was January 10, 1980.
