Oh, I can imagine it's quite scary making a long relocation like that. I know it doesn't help, but you'll be fine. You've got the main things covered~You found your perfect spot, you've got employment secured, and you have your timeline set.
Good luck to you and if you stop in a motel, let us know how your trip is going. Also, please don't leave us when you get relocated. It's always interesting to hear feedback from people who move here.
Airboat, what's your route? Are you going through Kansas or Eastern Colorado? If you go through Eastern CO you probably won't have as good of reception but your trip will be exponentially shorter. If you go through Kansas it will be long but there are more small towns so you should get better service. I'd imagine you'd only have a few "dead zones" either way though. Anymore, cell coverage is pretty good.
Airboatbill, You'll be fine... There's enough guns in this country, we don't need anymore here .
Cell phone service will be good... What carrier do you use? Verizon has solid coverage from Texas to South Dakota. Verizon looks like its spotty in Western Texas...
