Hey all. A friend of mine and I will be attending a wedding out in Rapid in a couple of weeks. We have reservations at the Big Sky Lodge. Pictures on the interwebs look pretty cool, just wondering if anyone had any experience with the place.
Thanks.
I don't personally have any experience with it, but it is in a really cool place. You'll be at the intersections of Highway 16 and Skyline Drive and the view from the hotel looks over the city lights. I strongly recommend that you take a drive or a run along Skyline Drive too. It gives a beautiful view and it's kind of a local hotspot that few tourists know of.
Here's a night view of Rapid City from Skyline Drive:
Heh, that looks great. It's been awhile since I've been to Rapid. Well, maybe three years ago, but kind of lost my familiarity with the town. When I was in the guards, we hung out at Camp Rapid a lot, and I knew the town a lot better. I can find the main points, just not as easy as I used to.
The last time there was for a wedding on maybe the south west part of town. An outdoor setting. Must be a popular place for weddings because they were running people through every hour or so.
Danny - Skyline drive brings back all sorts of memories.
Oh I catch your drift RJ!!!
