I'm planning on becoming a real estate agents, and I'm wondering how is the market in real estate? Since I live in NYC, is it necessary to own a car and drive people around? I just got my driver's license but I don't think I have the courage to drive in the city.

Also, any wisdom or advices you would like to share?

Call a reputable broker in your market - ask if they are hiring and sponsoring new agents, and if so, if you can schedule an informational interview.. Do this with several companies, if you do not feel comfortable putting yourself out there like this then know that real estate might not be the right field for you. It is one never ending interview....
