I noticed that the manager will go into other peoples units to show them if the people will be moving out, but haven't yet. They just knock and open the door a few seconds later if no one opens it for them. This happened when I was looking at units to rent for work. The current tennant hadn't moved out or been informed that the manager would be entering the unit and showing it. Is that legal or normally how it's done? That's for work only rentals.

There might be something in the lease itself that the tenants agreed to that states that when they give notice, they are giving the landlord the right to show the property.

Maybe. I've come up with a solution. I hate to feel like I don't have privacy and can be barged in on at any minute. I'm going to make a make shift secondary entrance using a tall bookcase and a lightweight accordion door or swinging door. What if I was watching porn or something?

Yeah it's pretty standard. I used to work for a commercial developer and there was always a clause in our lease.
