Agents - How do you structure your finances?

Thanks guys! All of this sounds on par with what I had in mind.

I passed my exam yesterday, and I signed the Independant Contract Agreement today. And wrote a check....
I am excited, and scared to death. I have a clue what I'm doing, but that's about it. On top of that, I'm paranoid that I'm going to miss something, and the tax man is going to come for an audit.

Again, I really appreciate the advice. I will be opening a checking account and CC soon.
