I tweet every day for 10 of my B2B customers. I think it is valuable/useful in that respect.
I still have not figured out how to use Twitter for B2C.
I have no clue who the top 4 are in our area.......I looked them up and they don't have any of their own listings, all IDX. Oh, and they also have blogs and I am betting, videocasts. I'm betting they paid $125 for a 1 day seminar on web presences, probably 1 year ago. Now, how much business have they done? But, they are probably getting decent web traffic due to SEO.
Twitter when used properly can be a useful source of clients. It can also make one look like a horse's behind. That second part goes double for the Facebook thingy.
