RE Professionals, does this part-time want ad from a real estate appraiser sound legit to you?

It's legit so far as it goes. Sounds to me like a Brokers Professional Opinion (BPO) outfit. Not really doing "appraisals" just estimates of value. Now that I think of it, lot's of re-fi's were done in the past based on BPO's, part of what's wrong with the finance markets IMHO

Thank you to all of you who responded. I have given too much rep out to give you all a point right now but will do so when I can. I really appreciate the feedback. After thinking it over, I think it is a lot of work for just $35. Besides...I really don't want to contribute to a less than desireable appraisal practice. This "out of town appraiser thing" sounds a bit shady to me. I think I will pass on this one. Thanks for the input!
